Validating drop down list
The resulting string will be something like this: “=Sheet1!
Create a drop down list of items in a cell, with Excel's Data Validation feature.
If they are in separate sheets you would use a statement like “=Sheet Name!
A1: A6”, where “Sheet Name” is replaced with the name of the sheet.
To create a named range, select the cells that will be on the list, and name the selection.
